A Time for Everything!

There is a first for everything...and it seems like every portrait I take is always a first! I have taken high school senior portraits, baby's portraits, children's portraits...and today the first family portrait! Usually I am on the other side of the camera during family portraits because we usually have family portraits twice a year. Of course I didn't mind being on "the other" side of the camera today! ;-)

We had a very fun and relaxing time walking through the park along Nagawicka Lake! It is a beautiful park with many wonderful delights of God's creation!

It was a lot of fun working with your beautiful family today! May God bless you all!

Go with the flow...

I have come to realize that when you are taking baby/child portraits you just have to go with the flow. Babies actually do a very wonderful job of posing themselves. If you try to pose them in a certain way, they will just move...and the way that they position themselves is actually a lot better than what you tried to do!

Enjoy these photos of a very cute little boy!

Fun on the Farm!

I had the wonderful opportunity to take the high school senior portraits of a very good friend of mine, and a very dear friend of my sister! It was a fun and relaxful photo session, despite the heat and wind! ;-) The chickens walking around... the goats "baahhaaaing" (lol!) definitely made everything wonderful!

I wish you all the best, my friend, as you continue on the journey that Our Lord has planned for you! God bless you always!

Here is a few photos from today's photo shoot! Enjoy! :)

England Part 4....

First of all I just noticed that my blog has been viewed more than 1,000 times!! Kind of exciting! ;-) Keep it up everyone!

Now, as I promised this is Part 4 of my trip to England. These pictures were taken with my point-and-shoot camera, so don't expect quality or creativity! ;-) Sometimes it was easier to use this small camera...as in while walking down the street, in the airport, train station...etc. There is a variety of pictures in this blog, so look at them all! There are captions under the photos...so be sure to look at that! :)

This is my last post of my England pictures! Thank you for viewing them and I hope you enjoyed them!

Enjoy!

On our way to England we flew from Chicago to Frankfort, Germany. This is at our stop in Germany waiting for our connecting flight.

YAY! Finally in England...waiting for our train.

 Birmingham, England

Our first wonderful English breakfast! They always served us an egg and toast  for breakfast.

My first cup of English tea--of course had to take a picture! ;-)

We were blessed to have the picture of St. Faustina (one of my favorite saints!) in our room!!
The bell on the staircase

Another bell from the other direction!

These are their "yield" signs...lol!
Of course had to capture the cars driving on the wrong side of the road!!

Also...look at the way that they park their cars!

Smart car!

This is how all their street signs look

England Part 3

I hope you have enjoyed reading/viewing pictures from my visit to England. I have a few more for you to look at! ;-) This post I am going to be showing the pictures that my sister took--since she took some pretty cool ones! This is a overall view of our time in England....Maryvalle, nursery's, train stations, walking to Lyme Hall, Lyme Hall, the English countryside etc.... I believe that these pictures best show the country of England and all it's many charms! Enjoy viewing!!

The first picture actually wasn't taken in England, but it is related.... This little flower is a wayside flower. This flower is most commonly known from the movie "The Scarlet Pimpernel". In this movie an English man saves many French people from death during the french revolution. This man's family symbol is the Scarlet Pimpernel. Whenever this man saves a French person from death, he leaves a note with the seal of this flower. So...this flower is actually called "The Scarlet Pimpernel" and I just discovered it growing in our back yard!

There will be a Part 4...so stay tuned!

God bless!

In England they have Day Nursery's instead of day cares...we thought the name was pretty cute!

Maryvalle....this house was very old and beautiful!

A very English looking couch!

Our Lady and Jesus...a statue in the chapel

The Chapel

On our train ride to Disley. There were so many fields of these yellow flowers!

All English houses/buildings either are made of this white brick, or  redish/brown brick. Everything is made out of bricks!

Self portrait--in the train!

Stopping at a train station along the way

Walking to Lyme Hall

My first view of Lyme Hall

Finally there, and so happy!!

I thought these hedges were pretty cool.

A kind English lady took our picture!

P&P fans--you can actually see this sign in the movie

Walking through Lyme Park

On top of the world!! We were on top of the hill/mountain and the wind was really blowing! It felt so wonderful!!

Many English Farms still look like this!

Back "home" to Maryvalle after a long day of  traveling. The sisters there served us the best meals!

Flying Home!!! We thought these yellow and green fields were kind of cool!
