England Part 2

On the last day in England my sister and I took a day trip to town of Disley. From the bus...walking to the train station, on the train the trip took 4 hours. We got off the train in this cute little town. We walked then to the entrance of Lyme Hall.....where the gate house (in the first two pictures) is. It was a beautiful day, but a little chilly (as you can guess in the last picture). We walked from the entrance to the House, which took us 1/2 hour....walking through beautiful the countryside.  We finally reached the house....!!! We were able to tour the house and gardens. The gardens were very beautiful and so peaceful, we wished we could have stayed there for longer, but we had to get back to Maryvalle (where we were staying).

Btw.... English people make the best sandwiches. We had so many sandwiches when we were there!! We had never had such a good sandwich before!

Look at the captions under the photos to see the description.

I will post Part 3 at a later time! :)

All those Pride and Prejudice fans...do you recognize this view?!

This is where Mr. Darcy runs into Miss Lizzy Bennett

My beautiful sister

The Orangery---which to us(in the U.S.) is a green house. This  building had the most delicious scent...all those beautiful flowers!

Lyme Hall

Oh, those wonderful stairs... remember some two special people walking up them?!

Lyme Hall's gardens were so beautiful!

We loved that they planted flowers in the shape of a cross

In the Orangery

The most beautiful fountain!

This flower was floating in the fountain

Lyme Hall's garden...where else would you find a bush like that?!

On the side of Lyme Hall

English Gardens

Even their doors are beautiful!

Pemberly!

This is the view that you see in the movie...which actually is not by the road(as they make you think), but on a small path

This is where Mr. Darcy says farewell to Lizzy and her Aunt and Uncle

walking through the courtyard to the pond

beautiful stairs that someone runs down! ;)

When we were touring the house we saw the other side of this clock...very cool!

Even their bridges are unique and beautiful!
